Review process

Proposals are reviewed by an external Independent Review Committee (IRC) comprised of internationally renowned European experts. Proposals are reviewed based on:

 

  • Area of interest
  • Originality
  • Scientific merit
  • Feasibility

Over the past 4 years the programme has been running, funding has been awarded to 46 proposals out of approximately 300 submissions

Review by the Independent Review Committee

  • Chair of the IRC assigns proposals to IRC members for review
  • Reviews are completed and discussed at the IRC decision meeting
  • The IRC finalises their assessments and prioritises concepts for
    funding

Applicants receive notification about the outcome of the
IRC decision via email

  • A brief statement will be provided to summarise the comments of the IRC
  • A more detailed report of the IRC's comments can be provided on request
